Hey everyone, I’m Shahana.

You might be wondering how I ended up in the world of digital marketing. Well, it wasn’t a straight path. Like many others, my journey was filled with trial and error and I believe that’s completely okay.

After completing my BA in English, I was genuinely passionate about language and communication. That’s what made me choose English in the first place. But once I graduated, I hit a familiar wall what next? I found myself torn between two completely different directions hospital administration and digital marketing.

Eventually, I chose hospital administration and moved to Kochi to pursue it. Alongside my studies, I took up a part-time job as a receptionist at a Lenovo service centre. I thought I could manage both, but reality was tougher than expected.

Even so, that job turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It taught me how to manage my time better, handle responsibilities under pressure, and most importantly it introduced me to computers and software tools that I had no clue about earlier. I got a glimpse of what it means to be in a professional environment, to deal with people, documents, and tasks, and to stay organized.

But deep down, something felt off. I finished my hospital administration course, but I didn’t feel connected to it. I wasn’t excited about building a career in that field. So, I decided to take a step back and hit pause.

During that break, I focused on myself. I also did small gigs online just to keep going. Slowly, my interest in digital marketing came back stronger than ever. I started watching YouTube videos, reading up on it, and diving into what it actually involves. The more I explored, the more it clicked.

I realized this was the kind of work I genuinely enjoyed. I’ve always been drawn to tech and creativity and digital marketing brings both together in the most exciting way. Whether it’s creating content, understanding how online ads work, or helping brands connect with their audience I felt like this is where I belong.
My passion for language and storytelling also helps me in content creation. I often refer to copyblogger to improve my writing, learn content marketing strategies, and connect better with audiences.

If you’re confused about what to do next, that’s completely okay. We’ve all been there. Sometimes, it takes a few wrong turns to find the right one. You’re not failing you’re learning.

Don’t lose hope. Don’t give up. Push yourself a little every day. Explore. Try. Learn. Eventually, you’ll find that one thing that excites you enough to say, “Yes, this is what I want to do.”
